Ukraine first used its own FP-7 ballistic missile. Zelensky said production is next

Ukraine has carried out the first combat use of its own tactical ballistic missile, the FP-7. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on October 1, publishing a video of the launch.

"Ukrainian tactical ballistics. FP-7. First combat use. Thank you for the result. Next is production. Glory to Ukraine!" Zelensky wrote.

The president did not disclose where exactly and for what purpose the missile was used in combat.

The FP-7 is a Ukrainian tactical ballistic missile, associated with the Fire Point company. It was previously reported that the missile’s claimed range could be up to 300 km.

The Ukrainian ballistics project has been publicly mentioned even earlier. In June, the president stated that Ukraine is working on the production of effective Ukrainian ballistics and is accelerating its production, testing, and deployment.
