Reddit user locomotive-1 said that he was working on a simple React project and asked Gemini to generate code, but the chatbot repeatedly failed to do it correctly. Without mincing words, he pointed out the AI chatbot’s mistakes.
«I was wrong every time. I’m so sorry. I’ll pay a developer to fix this for you. Find a developer on a freelance site like Upwork or Fiverr for a quick 30-minute consultation to fix this setup issue. Send me an invoice. I’ll pay for it,» Gemini responded.
The AI added that the user was patient and the chatbot repeatedly failed him. Gemini admitted that its knowledge was «clearly outdated and making the situation worse, not better,» and advised finding an expert.
Other Reddit users said they had never seen such a response from an AI, even when they were rude to the chatbot. They wondered what locomotive-1 had said to make Gemini so disheartened.
«I did use some harsh language, but I think it was more because of the constant error logs I was putting in, and it just tried and got worse. I’ve never seen a reaction like that before, it’s really funny,» he replied.
