Taras Ostapchuk, founder of Ratel, a company that creates a line of ground robotic platforms, spoke about the increase in drone production.
Currently, the military is ordering the most Ratel M logistics drones and Ratel H logistics tow trucks, Defender Media reports, citing a report published on the YouTube channel of the Ukrainian Land Forces.
According to Ostapchuk, Ratel’s production has a high level of autonomy and is equipped with its own nitrogen plant, generators, and electricity reserves. He added that the company receives contracts and advances from the state for the production of NRCs, and also sends commissions that check the specifications of the drones before sending them to the front.
«The state gives 70% of the advance. That is, if before we did not take an advance, we did it at our own expense, now we take an advance, they check me, this is an additional check. And as of today, the state does not put any spokes in the wheels at all. It helps as much as possible. They urge me: 'Make the goose faster, expand production, come on, come on, we need it.' So from my side, I help the state to train operators», — said Taras Ostapchuk.
He added that the biggest bottleneck is operator training and pointed to a shortage of veterans who could train people.
Recall that dev.ua previously spoke with Taras Ostapchuk and learned more about how the company fills the military sector with useful devices, how difficult it is to sell army technologies, and who saved Ratel from economic collapse.
