According to a Bitget press release, the product initially ran in closed beta, and over 80,000 users signed up for the waitlist after the test began in December. During the beta, macro instruments, including the XAU/USD pair, were the most active: the company said the daily trading volume exceeded $100 million, making it one of the most notable indicators of the test period.
The public release of Bitget TradFi offers 79 instruments: precious metals, currency pairs, indices and commodities. The company emphasizes that trading takes place through existing Bitget accounts (without switching to a separate broker or other platform) and is aimed at crypto traders who want to add hedging or diversification without «switching» between services.
Bitget also says that during testing, it refined order execution, spreads, liquidity depth, and leverage settings based on user feedback to prepare the product for scaling. Bitget CEO Gracie Chen said in a press release that it is important for traders to have the freedom to quickly switch between digital assets and classic markets depending on the situation.
The «universal exchange» (UEX) model promoted by Bitget reflects the trend of bringing crypto and TradFi instruments together in a single interface. At the same time, trading with leverage and derivatives increases risks, so users should carefully read the terms and restrictions of the service.
