BlueBird launches charging station rental. The service will cost 900 UAH per day, but the station can be purchased. How it works

Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech is launching a new service for renting charging stations “Genera-1200”.

As noted in the company’s statement, the service aims to help Ukrainians prepare for possible long-term power outages.

At the same time, the user can rent the “Genera-1200” station for the required period at a price of 900 UAH/day, but such a rental is actually an analogue of installment payments, because the rental payments are included in the cost of the station, and it can be purchased by paying the remaining price. The full price of the device is 54,840 UAH including VAT.

“We understand that not everyone is ready to buy a charging station at full price, especially if it is needed only for a limited period, for example, winter. Therefore, we are launching a rental as an opportunity to provide yourself with backup power exactly when you need it. Rental also allows you to test the station before a possible purchase,” explained BlueBird Tech.

At the same time, the rental terms require payment of the full cost as a deposit.

“The rent is deducted daily from the deposit amount, and if the deposit amount is used in full, the station automatically becomes the property of the tenant,” they added.

The “Genera-1200” charging station is equipped with a LiFePO4 battery with a capacity of 1344 Wh and has a nominal power of 700 W with a peak load of up to 1000 W. The station is equipped with a 220V output with a pure sine wave.

According to the manufacturer’s estimates, the station’s charge is enough to operate a laptop for approximately 15–25 hours, and a gas boiler and circulation pump for approximately 10–20 hours, depending on actual consumption. At the same time, the manufacturer warns that the station is not intended for powerful heating devices. Its charging from the network takes 3-4 hours.
