Scroll.media reports that it is currently unknown whether Bornyakov will be able to get rid of the «acting» prefix and head the Ministry of Digital Affairs on a permanent basis.
«There is chaos in the Rada, there is war in the country, they cannot vote for the Minister of Defense,» the source noted.
At the same time, dev.ua sources within the Ministry of Digital Transformation report that Oleksandr Bornyakov is 'one of the options. He told the editors that everything hinges on the vote in the Verkhovna Rada.
Oleksandr Bornyakov became one of Mikhail Fedorov’s first deputies in the spring of 2019. He has good experience in legislative work (the law on virtual assets), is respected and recognized in the Web3 community. In 2007, Bornyakov founded the IT company SoftTechnics. Later, it was acquired by the American company Intersog.
On January 13, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, but were unable to proceed to a vote on his appointment to the post of Minister of Defense.
