According to the Main Directorate for Lifecycle Support of Armaments and Military Equipment, the name «Vespa» translates from Italian as «wasp.» This drone really has a «sting»: the strike capabilities of the UAV allow it to destroy not only enemy manpower, but also armored vehicles, transport, shelters, and other targets on the battlefield.
The Vespa-15 complex has several modifications adapted to perform tasks during the day and night. Its aircraft are capable of covering distances of several tens of kilometers and carrying a significant combat load, while demonstrating high resistance to enemy electronic warfare equipment.
«The complex has modifications of drones to perform various tasks day and night,» the department emphasized.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense also codified other Ukrainian drones: «Amaga-10» and BATON, which are already in service with the Defense Forces. In addition, the Ukrainian army recently received the latest missile drone «Hell». It is capable of speeds up to 700 km/h and has a range of over 700 km.
Also mercilessly in Kyiv, the first public presentation of Magura naval drones took place. Over the past two years, Magura has hit 17 Russian targets at sea and in the air.
