Ukrainian drone manufacturer F-Drones will add its real drones to the FPV simulator. On Independence Day, users from Ukraine will be able to try the game for free,
F-Drones CEO Stanislav Khutor told DOU about this.
This simulator, FPV Battleground, was created by a team of Ukrainian developers. It appeared in Steam Early Access back in November 2024, and is now being developed together with F-Drones. The original team remained responsible for the basis of the game and its mechanics. And F-Drones transferred the models of its UAVs and their tactical and technical characteristics to the team. Together, the developers also created missions, consulted with the military, and recreated various communication scenarios.
The game will also be rebranded and will be called F-Drone Simulator. Unlike many FPV simulators, the task here does not end with flying around the map, not falling, and not crashing into anything. The player will have to search for targets, monitor the battery charge, take into account the terrain, the radio horizon and the impact of electronic warfare. The drone itself can also be customized: replacing components affects how it behaves in flight.
F-Drones also has an advanced non-public simulator for military and training centers with additional functions and scenarios. The company provides access to it along with its drones. Before practical flights, operators must spend at least 10 hours in the simulator. As Stanislav Khutor says, this will be used to train, in particular, the American military.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that F-Drones received an American contract for the supply of 2,000 F10 FPV drones as part of the Drone Dominance program.
