The government has adopted a resolution that creates an official framework for working with international partners, Brave International.
This was announced on his social media channel by Acting Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov.
Thus, according to him, more than 100 million euros will be provided for international grants from Brave1 and partner countries.
«Now we have the „green light“ to quickly launch joint grant competitions. It is important that both Ukrainian developers and startups from foreign jurisdictions will be able to participate in them,» Bornyakov commented.
Brave International, according to the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, will operate on the following basic conditions:
search for technologies for real needs;
attracting capital into Ukrainian tech;
deeper integration of the Ukrainian defense tech ecosystem into the international defense technology market.
At the same time, a 50/50 funding model is envisaged: on the basis of equal contributions, Ukraine and the partner country create joint grant funds.
As a result, parity management is envisaged, and joint boards and expert committees are created for transparent consideration and evaluation of applications.
The competitions are open to both Ukrainian companies and foreign teams, and a mandatory condition for all developments is testing and verification in real combat conditions in Ukraine.
According to Bornyakov, thanks to this framework, Brave1 will launch the first joint international competitions in the near future.
«We are ready to transfer everything related to defense innovations to them.» Bornyakov announced the transfer of the Brave1 defense cluster from the Ministry of Digital Affairs to the Ministry of Defense
