"Krechet" is an air defense tactical group control point designed for automated control of air defense units.
The system provides:
integration of up to 5 digital radars, up to 10 mobile fire groups and up to 4 night target detection devices;
automatic target allocation and management of up to 10 target channels;
air situation display and tracking of up to 250 targets simultaneously;
a spatial area of responsibility of up to 300×300 km;
fast deployment (up to 10 minutes) and autonomous 24/7 operation.
At the same time, the armored car retained all the advantages of the basic Novator platform:
reliable Ford V8 Super Turbo Diesel diesel engine with a capacity of 330 hp;
maximum speed 140 km/h;
PZSA-4 ballistic protection (analogous to STANAG 4569 Level 1), which provides resistance to fire from 7.62 mm caliber small arms;
STANAG 4569 Level 2a/2b mine protection, which protects the crew from explosions on land mines under the wheel or under the bottom.
"In fact, Novator 2 with Krechet is a new generation mobile command post that increases the effectiveness of air defense, allows for better coordination of forces, and guarantees the safety of the military," the defense-industrial enterprise notes.
Ukraine is developing its own air defense system against the Russian "Oreshnik" and a new missile system that could deter the Russians from launching such weapons
