According to Feliksov, small bookstores are forced to purchase books on unfavorable terms, keep large inventory, spend resources on logistics and accounting, and negotiate with each publisher separately.
«And very often they get smaller discounts than big players who themselves hold sales at dumping prices,» says the founder of ReadEat.
He said he created Bookticket to change these «rules of the game.» Feliksov describes the project as a service and infrastructure that unites publishers, bookstores, readers, and logistics into a single system.

According to Dmitry Feliksov, the service is available to existing bookstores as well as those that are just planning to open. He said that Bookticket passed a test launch in August and already has 10 partner bookstores working with the platform.
«The model is simple: the platform keeps only 5–7% of the publisher’s discount, the rest, regardless of the order size, goes to bookstores. The only argument in negotiations with publishers is the increase in sales volumes due to the shared infrastructure. This is their only cost for cooperating with Bookticket as a distributor. In return, the benefits are much greater: wider distribution, convenience, analytics, and new sales channels,» Feliksov told the Chitomo publication in a comment.
He clarified that Bookticket works with 250 publishing houses that are suppliers of the Readeat network. The service’s catalog includes about 36,000 books.
