ChatGPT maintains absolute leadership, while image generators lose ground: new ranking of the most popular AI services
ChatGPT is currently used by 900 million people, about 10% of the world's population. It is 2.7 times ahead of its nearest competitor in terms of monthly traffic.
ChatGPT is currently used by 900 million people, about 10% of the world's population. It is 2.7 times ahead of its nearest competitor in terms of monthly traffic.
Artificial intelligence expert Alexey Minakov has published an analysis of the latest ranking of the top 50 generative AI web services, compiled by the number of unique monthly visits. The undisputed market leader remains the product from OpenAI, but the industry is demonstrating the emergence of completely new trends.
The top ten most popular AI services look like this:
ChatGPT
Gemini
Canva
DeepSeek
Grok
Claude
Character AI
Perplexity
Notion AI
Google AI Studio
In 18th place in the ranking was the Grammarly service — an AI assistant for checking texts from a company with Ukrainian roots.
The popular neural network Midjourney, which was in the top ten a few years ago, has dropped to 43rd place. According to Minakov, this is due to the fact that image creation has become a built-in feature of large platforms (such as ChatGPT or Gemini), so users no longer need separate products for this.
The ranking already includes the AI agent Manus (44th place), which was recently acquired by Meta, and Genspark (47th place).
Tools like Sora 2 were not included due to the rapid decline in user interest after release. Instead, Chinese models (e.g. Seedance 2.0) are expected to grow in popularity.
