As a result of Russian shelling, two data centers of the mobile operator Kyivstar were damaged, and one of the largest data centers in the country, Parkovy, completely stopped working.
This was announced by the President of Kyivstar, Oleksandr Komarov, during the Forbes CEO Summit event.
According to Komarov, over the past 10 days, the operator's telecom infrastructure has suffered eight direct hits, including two missiles hitting the company's central warehouse.
"One data center is completely shut down. Regarding the second one, we are actively engaged in risk mitigation. Instead of the standard equipment inventory of $30 million, our inventory amounted to $15 million," the president of Kyivstar noted.
He emphasized that the company was preparing for such scenarios. Currently, Kyivstar has already restored the operation of one of the data centers, has the necessary backup equipment, and continues to eliminate the consequences at the second facility.
