This was announced today by the Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov.
According to him, the Chernika drone is similar in warhead power to the Molniya , but has a different design. As a result of its impact, several cars in the garage cooperative were damaged.
The appearance of the enemy's new Chernika-2 drone was reported at the end of April by military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Oleksandr Kovalenko.
"Chernika-2" is a lightweight drone designed on the principle of "flying wing". It is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 3.5 kg. It flies at a speed of 75 km/h over a distance of more than 80 km. The flight altitude does not exceed 1.5 km.
"The most unpleasant thing about this drone is that it has a target homing system in conditions of suppression and loss of control signal. At the same time, this means of destruction is cheap, since it is assembled from foam plastic and sticks," Kovalenko noted.
Russian media first began reporting on the appearance of the Chernik-2 at the end of November last year. At that time, they reported that the enemy was supposedly armed with about 4,500 of these drones.
