Ukrainian company Ukrspetsdronprom has introduced the RP7 Chomga drone, which can perform reconnaissance and strike missions, as well as act as a mothership for smaller drones. The platform can carry up to 15 kg of payload, stay in the air for up to 90 minutes, and costs from $5,000. The manufacturer is currently preparing it for testing.

Chomgu was created as a multifunctional aircraft platform, the configuration of which can be changed depending on the mission. It can independently deliver combat loads to the target, carry FPV strike drones, or launch interceptor drones.
As a RP7 mother drone, the Chomga can carry up to three RP7-10 strike drones with a warhead weighing 1 kg each. If used as an FPV with larger batteries, the aircraft can carry two drones.
The platform also includes a reconnaissance and strike version of the RP7 Chomga M-Fly with a laser target designator, which, according to the manufacturer, operates at a distance of up to 3 km. The developers expect that the system will allow the use of FPV drones with optical homing heads.
Another configuration involves carrying three RP7-Zenit anti-aircraft drones with a SineLink communication system. According to the company, each interceptor has a warhead weighing 400 g, develops a speed of up to 250 km/h, and in afterburner mode — up to 320 km/h. The declared flight time is up to 20 minutes.
The RP7 Chomga has a classic aircraft design with conventional takeoff and landing. This requires a prepared area up to 50 m long.

cruising speed — about 75 km/h;
maximum speed — 110 km/h;
working altitude — up to 1500 m;
Flight duration is up to 90 minutes.
As a bomber with a 15-kilogram payload, the drone has a tactical radius of up to 60 km with a return. In the disposable strike variant, the claimed one-way flight range is 100–125 km.
The company has also developed a lightweight version of the “Light Chomga.” It can carry up to 5 kg of cargo over a distance of up to 80 km.
For communication, the analog SkyLoki system is provided, as well as a configuration with a Starlink satellite terminal and an integrated LTE modem. The cost of the kit, depending on the equipment, ranges from $5,000 to $7,000.
The company also claims that the platform is maintainable: a significant portion of field repairs can be performed with conventional hand tools.
Currently, Ukrspetsdronprom is preparing Chomga for testing and is negotiating with military units regarding experimental and combat operation. There is no confirmed data on serial deliveries or combat use of the platform yet.
