According to the investigation, the official’s assets significantly exceed his official income by almost UAH 50 million. dev.ua studied the ruling of the Pryluky City District Court of March 26, 2026 and tells the most interesting details of this case.
According to the investigation materials, strange things have been happening in the defendant’s declarations in recent years. With a modest official salary (from 150 to 450 thousand UAH per year), his fortune grew exponentially, and his main asset was the first cryptocurrency:
2021: The official declares that he purchased 10 Bitcoin on November 11, 2021. The total value of the asset according to the declaration is UAH 1. At the same time, the estimated market value of these coins at the time of acquisition was over UAH 17.1 million.
2022: The number of coins magically increases to 11 Bitcoin. The value in the declaration remains unchanged — 1 UAH (although the real market value at the end of the year was about 7.2 million UAH).
2023: 11 Bitcoins remain in the wallet (cost is again 1 UAH). The market price of the crypto at that time soared to 19.8 million UAH.
