SBI officers detained the director of a company operating in Ukraine under the PIN-UP online casino brand, the Bureau’s website said. He was charged with aiding an aggressor state; a motion to select a preventive measure in the form of detention is currently being prepared.
«The involvement of other subjects under investigation by the Bureau is being documented, the circle of whom is being established», — the SBI noted.
In January, SBI officers detained the nominal owner of PIN-UP, Igor Zotko. It is alleged that he spent a long time in Cyprus, where he was in contact with the real Russian owners of PIN-UP.
Subsequently, PIN-UP Ukraine officially declared its complete non-involvement in any illegal financial transactions and rejected the charges brought by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine against the company’s owner, Igor Zotko.
The SBI says that PIN-UP’s ties with representatives of the Russian Federation and entities subject to sanctions in Ukraine have been documented. Financial flows have also been established in the interests of filling the Russian budget and supporting armed aggression against Ukraine.
«The investigation also established that persons associated with the activities of the online casino conduct their business activities on the territory of the so-called „LPR“, thus filling the enemy’s budget. In addition, the person who directly controls the activities of the online casino, after the start of the full-scale invasion, financed veterans of the so-called „svo“», — the SBI claims.
The Bureau added that during the investigation, they discovered the activities of online casinos in Russia and on Russian web resources.

«To date, in addition to the announced suspicion of aiding the aggressor state, a preventive measure has already been chosen for the director of this company — detention without the alternative of posting bail», — the advisor to the head of the State Bureau of Investigation noted.
