"Where's my FP-9?" Zelenskyy said the long-range Fire Point missile should be ready this fall

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian long-range ballistic missile FP-9, which is being developed by Fire Point, should be ready this fall. According to the stated characteristics, its range should be enough to hit targets in the Moscow region.
Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Reuters. According to him, he called the manufacturer to speed up the completion of work on the rocket.
“I said to them, ‘Where’s my FP-9?’ We need the FP-9,” the president said, adding that he was confident the missile would be ready this fall.
According to Fire Point, the FP-9 should carry up to 800 kg of combat load at a distance of up to 850 km. The manufacturer claims a maximum speed of 2300 m/s, a flight altitude of up to 70 km and an accuracy of about 20 m. The maximum flight time of the missile is 520 seconds.
In July, Fire Point co-founder and chief designer Denis Shtilerman said that the company was separating the FP-9 flight tests from the engine testing. Even then, he expected the tests to begin in the fall and named protected military facilities near Moscow as potential targets.
Earlier, dev.ua wrotethat Fire Point is completing the development of two of its own ballistic systems — the FP-7 and the longer-range FP-9. For the latter, the manufacturer claimed a range of up to 850 km. In February, the company reported on the final stage of testing of both models.
