DeepState API used without permission to integrate with bets on the occupation of Ukrainian territory on Polymarket

The developers of the PolyGlobe map, which visualizes bets from Polymarket with geolocation, have unauthorizedly used the API of the Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState. In this way, they wanted to improve the visualization of bets on the capture of Ukrainian cities by the Russians.
PolyGlobe was created by the developers of the Pentagon Pizza Watch project, which tracks the occupancy of pizzerias near the Pentagon through the service The Pentagon Pizza Index. It exploits the theory that major political events, crises, and wars can be predicted by a sharp increase in pizza orders from US government institutions, such as the White House and the Pentagon.
“Pentagon officials have consistently dismissed the pizza theory, pointing to the lack of a connection between surges in pizza orders and military events, as well as the large selection of food at the Pentagon itself. This theory has gained renewed attention due to widespread media coverage during recent geopolitical events,” say the developers of The Pentagon Pizza Index, which publishes dashboards of the occupancy of pizzerias and gay bars near the Pentagon.
On November 25, Pentagon Pizza Watch announced a major update to its PolyGlobe map for “visualizing geopolitical forecast markets.”
“DeepStateLive’s Ukraine War Map is now displayed directly on the globe, in real time, and synchronized with Polymarket. Shaded zones of control, frontline shifts, Russian/Belarusian unit icons, and attack direction arrows are all displayed below your markets and OSINT in near real time,” the developersannounced .
According to them, geographic markets for predictions about Ukraine "constantly confuse people."
“Now, when you hover over a market, we draw the exact area of the transaction where it is being resolved and explain the rule in plain language. No more arguing about the rules, no more guessing about what is actually being resolved,” Pentagon Pizza Watch said.

According to them, Polyglobe is a “first-of-its-kind OSINT market tracker” and an interactive dashboard that displays Polymarket data in real time on a 3D globe. Among the various bets and forecasts on the service, there are many bets on the war between Russia and Ukraine.
In particular, in November 2025, there were about 100 active bets on the Russian-Ukrainian war on Polymarket , such as whether the Russians would capture Pokrovsk by the end of the year or when a ceasefire would occur. According to Forbes Ukraine, there were 97 active bets in November, totaling $96.8 million. The largest number of bets ($27 million) was placed on a bet on a ceasefire by the end of 2025, which has about a 5% probability.
"To the public's attention - DeepStateMap did NOT give permission for integration with bookmakers. Today, to your and our outrage, a message from a certain bookmaker service about integration with our map was posted. DeepStateMap and the DeepState UA team have nothing to do with this service," - Polyglobe developers at DeepStateresponded to the message.
According to them, Polyglobe makes money from betting on war and connects either through a free API provided to someone for humanitarian/military needs, or through third-party parsers.
"Such attempts to profit from our work are not the first time, which forced us to introduce stricter API control and create individual client keys. Because of such individuals, we do not have time to process the issuance of new keys. We would also be grateful and welcome the help of specialists in the field of intellectual property protection to solve this problem and punish fraudsters," the authors of the Ukrainian project noted.
After that, Polyglobe developers published an explanation regarding the integration of DeepStateMap with their service, but did not respond to the accusations of unauthorized use of the API.
“PPW does not support war, violence, or suffering of any kind. "This update was not created to gamify the conflict, glorify destruction, or devalue human life," Pentagon Pizza Watch noted.
The authors of Polyglobe rejected accusations of pro-Russian bias and reaffirmed that they used DeepStateMap data. Currently, the Polyglobe website does not display the map of the Ukrainian project.
