The special service’s report notes that as part of Operation Web, four military airfields, Belaya, Diaghilev, Olenya, and Ivanovo, were simultaneously hit. The drones destroyed or damaged 41 aircraft, including rare and valuable A-50s, Tu-95s, Tu-22 M3s, and Tu-160s. The SBU estimates the Russian Federation’s losses at over $7 billion. It is noted that this involves the destruction of 34% of strategic cruise missile carriers that terrorize Ukrainians.
«The destruction of enemy bombers is a task set before us by the President of Ukraine, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Volodymyr Zelensky. He personally supervised the progress of the special operation, which was being prepared by the Security Service officers. The enemy bombed our state almost every night from these planes, and today he actually felt that „retribution is inevitable“. The SBU is doing and will do everything possible to protect Ukraine and stop Russian shelling,» noted the Head of the SBU, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk.
The preparation of the special operation lasted a year and a half; it took place simultaneously in three time zones and was «extremely complex from a logistical point of view». First, SBU specialists transported FPV drones to Russia, and later mobile wooden houses. Already in the territory of the Russian Federation, the drones were hidden under the roofs of houses, placed on trucks. At the right moment, the roofs of the houses were opened remotely, and the drones flew to destroy the Russian bombers.
«According to the laws and customs of war, we have worked out absolutely legitimate targets — military airfields and aircraft that bomb our peaceful cities. So, on our part, there is a real demilitarization of the Russian Federation, because we are destroying military targets. And our strikes will last exactly as long as the Russian Federation terrorizes Ukrainians with missiles and shaheeds,» said Vasyl Malyuk.
He thanked the SBU employees for their work and emphasized that all the specialists who worked in the Russian rear «have been in Ukraine for a long time.»

We will respond to Russian terror and destroy the enemy everywhere — at sea, in the air and on land. And if necessary, we will get it out of the ground,» the head of the SBU emphasized.
Elon Musk commented on the Ukrainian special operation to destroy Russian aircraft and stated that «drones are the future of war, but manned aviation is not.»
