On the eve of the holiday, the team gathered in Kyiv for a lecture by folklorist Yaryna Sizyk, «Pixel of Traditions: Embroidery in the Development of the National Idea.» During the meeting, they raised funds for the «Common Heritage» crowdfunding campaign, which saves ancient folk items. On the day of the holiday itself, the team members were also wearing embroidery during an online rally.
«Today is a day to remember that behind this ornament is history, culture, and also a code (not the one in the repository). Because embroidery is also about systematicity. About signs that you recognize without signatures. About meanings that are passed down through generations.
