The guarantee will cover up to 70% of investments through the Danish Export Investment Fund (EIFO), which will mitigate financial risks for businesses.
This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, on her Facebook page.
This initiative opens up new opportunities for Danish manufacturers, who will not only be able to invest in Ukrainian defense enterprises, but also gain access to unique experience, innovations, and weapons testing in real combat conditions.
EIFO is already actively working with Danish business and supporting economic cooperation with Ukraine through various financial mechanisms:
Export credit guarantees — reducing export risks to Ukraine by insuring against possible defaults.
Direct lending — providing loans to Ukrainian buyers of Danish goods and services.
Investment capital — promoting the expansion of Danish companies' activities in Ukraine.
Denmark systematically supports Ukraine in building its defense and offensive capabilities. Thanks to funding from the Danish government in the amount of €750 million, EIFO actively invests in Ukrainian projects. To date, more than €400 million has already been allocated to finance more than 20 initiatives, including loans and guarantees.
We previously reported that Denmark, together with the United States, the Netherlands, and Ukraine, are developing a homing missile-bomb with a range of 453 km for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which can sink ships.
«The capabilities of the military-industrial complex in 2024 exceed the volumes of 2022 by 18 times. But there are also enough difficulties.» Interview with Octava Capital CEO Tetyana Andrianova
