The State Statistics Service has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding with the Microsoft Corporation representative office in Ukraine. What does the cooperation entail?
The State Statistics Service reports that this will help implement innovations and digital solutions in statistics.
The memorandum envisages cooperation in the modernization of statistical infrastructure and the creation of centralized data platforms. It also includes «optimization of the State Statistics Service’s business processes», the widespread implementation of cloud and hybrid technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
«At the beginning of the war, we focused on maintaining the continuity of statistical production. Today, the time has come for innovation. Using Microsoft solutions will help not only modernize the infrastructure and protect data, but also make statistics more convenient, transparent, and understandable for business, the state, and citizens», said Artem Rudko , Deputy Head of the State Statistics Service for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization.
According to Leonid Polupan, General Manager of Microsoft Ukraine, the company supports the development of Ukrainian statistics.
«A strong statistical system helps businesses navigate, the state make decisions, and society develop. We want technology to become a catalyst for these changes, and Ukraine to be an example of how digital innovations can work for the benefit of people», he noted.
The first joint projects of the State Statistics Service and Microsoft with artificial intelligence in the field of statistics are expected this fall.
Earlier, the head of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Arsen Makarchuk, said that a separate subscription to ChatGPT is unlikely to appear in the calculation of the consumer set, but he does not rule out the emergence of a combined subscription to online services.
