Ten seconds instead of requests to customs: Ukraine launches service to check the terms of temporary import of cars
The State Customs Service of Ukraine has launched an online service that allows you to check how many days a car has been in Ukraine under temporary importation and when it needs to be exported. To do this, simply enter your passport details and the car’s license plate number.
The State Customs Service of Ukraine has launched an online service that allows you to check how many days a car has been in Ukraine under temporary importation and when it needs to be exported. To do this, simply enter your passport details and the car’s license plate number.
The State Customs Service announced the launch of the service.
How to check the period of stay of a car in Ukraine
To obtain information, you need to enter the passport data of a citizen of Ukraine and the registration number of the car that was temporarily imported into the country.
The system allows you to check the history of the import and export of a vehicle during the current calendar year. In particular, you can find out how many days the vehicle has already been in Ukraine and how much time is left.
The service should help drivers independently control the permitted period of stay of the car in the country, plan trips, and not miss the deadline by which the vehicle must be removed.
Who can import a car without customs payments for 60 days?
Citizens-residents of Ukraine who are on temporary consular registration abroad may temporarily import a car for personal use without paying customs duties for a period of up to 60 days within one calendar year.
This period does not have to be continuous: the days allowed can be used during multiple trips.
The new online service allows you to check how many of these 60 days have already been used and plan your next entry into Ukraine taking into account the available time.
