The Ministry of Digital Affairs has scaled Diya.AI from a portal to a mobile application. The AI assistant runs on Google’s Gemini and already allows you to pay traffic fines and receive extracts via chat.
From now on, the AI agent is available not only on the portal, but also on a smartphone — users can receive government services via chat, without having to search for the desired section in the menu.
This is the next stage in the development of the Agentic State concept, promoted by the Ministry of Digital Affairs: when a digital service does not just show buttons, but independently understands the user’s request and performs the desired action.
At launch, three functions are available in the application through Diya.AI:
According to the acting Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov, the idea is to move from the «service in a few clicks» model to a scenario where the user simply describes the problem in natural language, and the AI agent performs the rest of the actions itself.
The technological basis of the service is Google’s Gemini model. The solution is deployed on the Vertex AI platform.

Separately, the ministry emphasizes: users' personal data do not enter the general Gemini model, but are processed in the protected loop of the «Diya» infrastructure.
The development is currently in open beta testing mode. To try the service, you need to update the Diya application to the latest version and click on the Diya.AI icon.
