“A donor comes to the collection and wants to donate 10 million UAH. As a result, only 9 million reach us.” Prytula told what needs to be fixed in Diia City’s work with volunteers
Serhiy Prytula, a volunteer and head of the foundation named after him, called for changes to legislative regulations that complicate the cooperation of companies using the Diia City regime with charitable organizations and volunteer foundations.
Serhiy Prytula, a volunteer and head of the foundation named after him, called for changes to legislative regulations that complicate the cooperation of companies using the Diia City regime with charitable organizations and volunteer foundations.
He said this during an event organized by the Diia City United union.
«We want to cooperate more actively with Diia City. But when a donor comes to our collection for anti-shaheed drones and wants to donate UAH 10 million, as a result, we receive UAH 9 million. It turns out that donating to our fund is a withdrawal of capital. I don’t understand what the joke is, because we are a charity,» Prytula complained.
According to the head of the foundation of the same name, this situation needs to be «fixed.»
Another big problem in interacting with business, he called the corporate policy of companies that have foreign capital but operate in Ukraine — as Prytula says, they are unwilling to donate funds to support the Defense Forces.
«We have been coming to them for four years — these are huge businesses with billions of turnover, not in hryvnias — and we say: give us money for this or that project. And we hear — you know, we have a head office in Vienna, Tokyo, Warsaw, Berlin or Washington, and the corporate policy of our company does not allow us to donate to the „military“. That is, corporate policy allows us to earn a lot of money in Ukraine during the war, but corporate policy does not allow us to thank the only reason why it is possible to run this business in Ukraine — namely, the Ukrainian soldier who protects your business!», Serhiy Prytula expressed his indignation.
In this context, he noted that the volunteer environment is «not beggars,» but a service that helps businesses demonstrate their social responsibility.
In addition, as Prytula says, his foundation is actively working to change legislative restrictions and already has concrete achievements in this direction.
«We are breaking some rocks. Last year, businesses could donate up to 4% of their annual profit without any obstacles. This year, you can already do it up to 8% of your annual profit. This doubling of the ability to donate without taxes did not happen for nothing, but because there were people who went to the leadership of the parliament and kicked out this ability for Ukrainian business,» the volunteer summed up.
«Prytula bought a satellite with human money to broadcast the national marathon.» The volunteer spoke about the «evolution of morons» and all the conspiracy theories he is accused of regarding the satellite he bought as a donation
