Acting Head of the State Traffic Safety Administration Lesya Karnaukh wrote about this on her Facebook page .
She recalled that the other day she met with representatives of large chains operating in the electronics and technology market.
«We talked about equal and fair rules of the game, about transparency in business and responsibility to society. The last blackout became another test of strength. And it’s a pity that not everyone has the strength and conscience to go through it with dignity,» she added.
Lesya Karnaukh said that she received several alarming calls during the day.
«While people were without electricity and water for 12-18 hours, and energy workers are doing everything to restore light to our homes, some have decided to earn some extra money. We are already recording the facts of a rapid increase in prices for backup power devices — in some cases, up to 30% over the last week,» the Acting Head of the State Tax Service noted.
According to her, wholesalers mainly raised prices in response to growing demand from retailers.
«The desire to make money is logical, but don’t take advantage of the situation and artificially raise prices. For example, one of the networks raised the price for the same charging station by more than 2 thousand within two hours. Because they understand that in a critical situation, people will be forced to overpay,» she noted.
Another perennial sore point is the sale of a significant portion of «gray» equipment.
Lesya Karnaukh added that the tax office records all cases and will respond appropriately. As part of its control over cash discipline, the State Tax Service will pay attention to the correctness of setting the price of goods in order to correctly determine the size and completeness of future tax payments.
«I really hope that the artificial price jump is temporary. Because, first of all, we must be guided by mutual respect and support for each other. And work honestly according to the same rules for everyone!» — said the Acting Head of the State Tax Service.
