The press service of the defense ministry reported on the admission of new weapons.
The main task of the complex is to intercept Russian drones at various altitudes. «TALION» works as a «small air defense» and is capable of shooting down most types of enemy reconnaissance and strike UAVs. In addition, due to its long stay in the air, the drone can conduct long-term patrols and reconnaissance.
The drone is piloted by an operator in manual or semi-automatic modes. In addition to combating air targets, «TALION» can hit ground targets and perform other tactical tasks as a loitering munition. This combination of functions allows the Ukrainian military to provide high-precision strikes in the tactical depth of the enemy.
Earlier, Ukraine introduced ZIRKA, a new interceptor drone designed to combat enemy air targets. The system was created based on real combat experience with the participation of military specialists, including from the Darknode anti-shahid battalion of the 412th Nemesis Unmanned Systems Brigade.
