As «Military» reports, this was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Hvozdiar during the forum «Britain — Ukraine: A Century-Old Partnership».
«Yesterday (Thursday — ed.) The first successful test of the first four units took place, and these interceptors will soon be delivered to Ukraine. Therefore, I believe that this is also a very good result for the century-long partnership agreement,» she noted.
Gvozdiar emphasized the importance of this project for Ukraine, as this, in her words, is the first scaling of a product developed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The publication recalls that the Octopus interceptor drones were developed within the framework of the From Army to Manufacturer framework. This framework involves the transfer of standardized military development to industrial production by private manufacturers.
Previously, dev.ua reported that the production of Octopus interceptor drones will reach 1,000 units in February.
Among others, the Ukrainian company General Chereshnya also joined the production of Octopus interceptor drones under license from the Ministry of Defense.
