“Hackers have disabled the social network.” Russian media announced an attack on YEDNÁ — developers say everything is working

Russian state media RIA Novosti reported an allegedly successful cyberattack on the Ukrainian social network YEDNÁ, which was launched the day before.

The article states that «hackers shut down the Ukrainian social network a day after it went live.» According to pro-Russian hacker groups PalachPro and Noname057(16), they managed to launch a DDoS attack and «destroy the platform’s API.»

However, the YEDNÁ team denies these claims.

According to hjphj, ybrsd, on April 1, the platform did indeed experience a DDoS attack, but it was repelled, and the service is currently operating normally.

«The attack has been repelled. YEDNÁ is working. No user data was affected or compromised,» the developers said.

The team also emphasized that one of the goals of launching the platform was precisely to counter bots and users from the Russian Federation — thanks to authorization through Diya.

«If bot farms and Russians can’t access our app, then verification through Diya is working exactly as intended,» they noted.

YEDNÁ positions itself as an independent Ukrainian social network, accessible only through identity verification. The developers describe it as a «space for the likes» and an alternative to open global platforms.

At the same time, Russian media have already announced their intentions to continue attacks on the service in the coming days.
