Ukrainian defense company UNWAVE, which is developing means to combat Russian drones, has appointed Vasyl Pasternak as its new technical director. Previously, he headed NVIDIA's Ukrainian R&D office for four years.
This was reported by the company's press service.
UNWAVE started out producing electronic warfare equipment, and now also develops drone detection systems, unmanned and strike platforms. The company was founded in 2023. It currently employs over 400 specialists. In three years, it has supplied over 50,000 products to the Defense Forces.
From 2020 to 2024, Pasternak led the Ukrainian NVIDIA team, which participated in the development of technologies for high-performance computing systems.
In his new role, he will be responsible for technology strategy, engineering team development, and process improvement. He says the main challenge is to shorten the path from idea to mass production to respond more quickly to military needs.
"Changes on the battlefield are happening faster and faster, and we must accelerate the adaptation of products to new military demands," Pasternak noted.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that UNWAVE changed its CEO in June 2026. The company was headed by Taras Bublyk, who was previously responsible for international cooperation and external relations.
