"The enemy will soon begin attempts to implement jamming tools directly on one of the drones accompanying the main group." The expert told what to expect from the "pumped" Russian shaheeds

Deputy CEO of the electronic warfare equipment manufacturing company, aviation expert Anatoly Khrapchinsky shared his thoughts on the innovations recently introduced in Russian shaheeds.
«Assessing our current capabilities, we must honestly admit: the enemy will soon begin testing attempts to implement jamming tools directly on one of the drones accompanying the main group,» Khrapchinsky noted in a comment to dev.ua.
According to him, such a drone can purposefully approach air defense positions and create local obstacles, disrupting target tracking.
«And if today it looks like fiction, then tomorrow it will be a home-made test, and then there will be a module integrated into mass production,» predicts Anatoliy Khrapchinsky.
According to the expert, the most vulnerable to such modifications are precisely those systems that we still perceive as «reliable», for example, classic air defense systems with stationary radars, which can be disoriented by drones with jamming generators.
«A local „radio shadow“ is formed, and the radar either loses its target or is guided to the wrong one,» explains a representative of the Ukrainian EW manufacturer.
He added that mobile electronic warfare systems that do not have an adaptive algorithm are no less vulnerable in this regard.
Anatoly Khrapchinsky focused on several areas in which Russia is modernizing the Shaheed.
«The swarm principle is when a group of drones performs tasks with the distribution of roles and functions. This is no longer just a «mass raid», it is coordination. Changing the target or task during the flight — the drone receives a new command in the air and reorients itself to another target. This is an attempt to implement elements of a «thinking weapon», — the expert explained.
At the same time, according to Khrapchynsky, the most difficult issue for the enemy in this context remains communication.
«And here, fortunately, they have big problems. Russia has still not been able to repeat what the American Tomahawks have long been able to do, that is, the stable transfer of new tasks during the flight,» he expressed his opinion.
As dev.ua recently wrote, the Russian army is already massively using new modifications of Shahed drones with mobile modems, reinforced warheads, thermal imaging cameras, and modern antennas for satellite navigation.
