Ukraine may start exporting drones by the end of the year

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with representatives of American companies Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, TechMet, VEON, Westinghouse, and others, at which he spoke about the «strong» Ukrainian drone production.

According to Zelensky, there are more than 300 technology companies in Ukraine.

«I think this is a new direction for our business and economy in the future. There are about 30 large companies that are ready to be partners. And I think that this year we will open the export of our new technologies only to those countries that we can count on, that is, not to enemies and not to those who have close ties with them,» the president said .

He added that Ukraine will create export platforms in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East and has already received offers from one of the African countries.

Recall that Zelensky recently announced the opening of Ukrainian weapons sales to foreign markets, but only after domestic needs are met.

Earlier, the Technological Forces of Ukraine (TSU) association, which unites the largest manufacturers of drones and other technological products, conducted a survey among 35 companies involved in the defense order. 38% of companies reported that more than half of their capacities are currently idle. Only a third of respondents said that the workshops are fully loaded.
