In October 2024, Ukrainian Armored Vehicles signed a package of documents on cooperation with the Czech holding Czechoslovak Group (CSG), in particular, cooperation concerns the production of ammunition. Excalibur Army is part of the holding.
Yesterday, Ukrainian Armored Vehicles announced the opening of an Excalibur Army office in Ukraine, which will handle orders, documentation, and technical consultations, which will significantly speed up production.
"Thanks to our Czech partners, we have access to decades of experience, advanced technologies and licensed solutions. We are ready to produce over 100,000 shells of various types of 155 mm caliber and 50,000 shells of 105 mm caliber, as soon as we receive a state order," said Vladyslav Belbas, General Director of Ukrainian Armored Equipment LLC.
According to him, the production of NATO-caliber ammunition is just the beginning. It is one of many technological production projects that the Ukrainian defense manufacturer plans to implement together with Czech partners in the near future.
"With the new office, our company seeks to expand its presence and intensify cooperation with Ukrainian partners in the defense and industrial sectors. Thanks to cooperation with the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company, we have already prepared a project for the local production of large-caliber ammunition," the Czech company's website says .
Czechoslovak Group Holding increased sales revenue in Ukraine fourfold in 2024, from EUR 0.4 billion to EUR 1.7 billion. Ukraine became the second largest market for CSG , providing 42.8% of revenue.
In March 2024, CSG's billionaire owner and CEO Michal Strnad said that the holding company wanted to invest "hundreds of millions of euros" in Ukraine.
