Odessa law enforcement officers have established that a 23-year-old Odessa woman was stealing bank card data that people entered on her website, believing that they were paying for parking.
As reported by the Odessa District Police Department, five local residents contacted them at the end of March with complaints that certain amounts of money had disappeared from their bank accounts.
During the investigation, police established that a 23-year-old Odessa woman was involved. She created a clone of a parking payment site in Odessa and placed a QR code with a link to it near one of the parking spaces in the Peresypsky district of the city.
The site did not differ from the official one, but required users to enter bank card numbers, CVV codes, and security codes in the form of logins and passwords.
With this data, the attacker logged into the victims' bank applications and transferred money to her account. The amounts ranged from 4,000 to 5,100 hryvnias. The total amount of damage caused to citizens reached 22,700 hryvnias, which the girl spent on her own needs.

The police confiscated her mobile phone, laptop, and bank card, which she used for fraud.
The perpetrator admitted her guilt and has already compensated the victims for the damages. The maximum sentence she faces is 8 years in prison.
Odessa law enforcement officers reminded that when paying for parking in Odessa, authorization is done through «Diya» or BankID. The official website does not require entering a bank card number, CVV code, login, or password.
