As Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology — Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said in an interview with the TV channel «We-Ukraine», funding for missiles is currently continuing. However, this is not the only vector of the ministry for the current year.
«We continue to fund grant programs related to missiles. This is a priority this year. We also plan to launch a separate grant program for factories that produce explosives. Also, our focus now is on drones that work at operational depth, lancet-type drones. They are important, drone swarms, the integration of artificial intelligence,» the minister noted.
According to him, we are also talking about ground platforms that work for logistics, on the front line, and that deliver ammunition and other important things for the Ukrainian military.
«Currently, the electronic warfare direction continues to develop actively. That is, every three months there are some cardinal changes in one or another technology. Therefore, we are trying to respond to all the changes that occur, but of course, the missile program is an important stable priority,» Fedorov assured.
Answering the question of whether explosives are already being produced, in particular, by private companies, the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation said that currently, if he is not mistaken, there are at least 40 private companies engaged in production.
«These are ammunition manufacturers, companies that manufacture explosives. And with each month, quarter, the number of companies increases. We are launching a grant program that will allow manufacturers to receive non-refundable grants and scale their own production. A lot of innovative things are happening in the production of explosives,» the Deputy Prime Minister said.
