The Brave1 cluster is to launch an online platform for selling drones, communications equipment, spare parts, and other products for the military.
This was stated by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, during the Defense Tech Innovation Forum, Suspilne reports .
«We want to offer a solution for the military based on the 'e-points' system. Units will have points, the military chooses drones, the state pays money to companies, and the drones are delivered to the military,» explained Fedorov.
According to the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, to purchase drones, the military will be able to use the so-called «e-points», which will be awarded to military units for the destruction of enemy equipment.
In addition, during his speech at the forum, Fedorov announced that private companies will be involved in the production of explosives in Ukraine, which will have financial support in the form of grants.
According to Fedorov, preparatory work was carried out for this, and bureaucratic problems for manufacturers in this area were eliminated.
«First, we opened the market, allowed the production of gunpowder for the private sector and ammunition. Second, we allowed the import of various components for production. And the next step is financial support. Grants are the best approach, and we will launch it very quickly,» said the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
He also answered the question of where Ukrainian manufacturers should look for raw materials, given the global problem of a shortage of substances for the production of explosives.
«Our entrepreneurs have different technologies for production. And they understand where to get it and what is needed additionally in the construction chain for production. Therefore, there is no problem that Ukrainian entrepreneurs cannot solve. In addition, domestic companies are working on innovative types of explosives,» explained Fedorov.
