“The new interceptor is already shooting down jet fighters. The first combat results in Kyiv are two downed Gerani-5s,” Fedorov wrote on his Twitter channel.
According to him, only a month passed from the start of development to the first confirmed hits.
He showed the first confirmed downings by the new interceptor on video.
“Its speed allows it to shoot down jet fighters before they reach the city. The tests are going well, and this is just the beginning. Now we are improving the technology and increasing production. The goal is to make the interceptor completely autonomous so that it can detect and intercept Russian drones without the participation of an operator,” Fedorov shared the technical nuances.
He called the next step the scaling up of the combat use of drones.
Fedorov also added that the jet interceptor is just one of the projects his team is working on.
“We are already developing a number of new products and technologies to protect the sky and the front,” he assured.
As dev.ua wrote, Fedorov previously announced a new large-scale project, where in six months a humanoid robot will kill the first Russian — an "army of robots."
The former minister also announced the launch of a new Defense Tech company with the support of Palantir CEO Alex Karp.
