Not just "track the product", but "tell me when it will be N hryvnias": Ukrainian woman created price tracker Finik

Maria Lychko created the price tracker Finik. The application saves what you want from any store, monitors the price daily, and suggests the right moment — based on the full price history.
The application was created to free users from the constant manual monitoring of online stores and endlessly refreshing browser tabs. Instead of checking every day whether the dream device or clothes have become cheaper, a person simply adds the product to the application and indicates a price target. Its main goal is to help buy wisely without overpaying and check the honesty of sellers during the next "promotions".
The principle of operation of the application is quite simple.
The user copies the link to the desired position and adds it to the application in literally two clicks via the "Share" menu.
Next, the price at which a person is actually willing to purchase the product (desired threshold) is set, as well as the monitoring frequency. The application supports price conversion from UAH to popular currencies (USD and EUR).
The universal parser system Finik regularly checks the product page. The coverage of marketplaces and online stores is already quite wide: Rozetka, OLX, Prom.ua, Allo, Comfy, Foxtrot, MOYO, Epicentr, JYSK, Makeup, Sinsay, Kasta, Shafa, Dnipro-M, Coosh, Cher17, Ruslan Baginskiy, Kachorovska and many others. If the desired store is not in the list, the system notifies you about it and adds it if there are requests from users.
As soon as the price drops to the specified level or below, Finik instantly sends a push notification.
Application feature
The main philosophy of Finik is expressed in the principle: not just "follow the product", but "tell me when there will be N hryvnias."
It is noted that the application has the following advantages:
recording and displaying a full history of price changes. This allows you to immediately see whether the product has really become cheaper, or whether the seller artificially raised the price tag before the "sale" and then returned it to the standard level;
saving the product takes place in two clicks without unnecessary actions;
analysis of the price chart and tips on whether now is a favorable time to buy or whether it is worth waiting longer;
all goods from different stores are collected in one convenient place;
The basic features of the application are completely free - you can track up to 10 products with daily checks and saving price history for 30 days.
In addition, there is a community on Telegram , where the application automatically publishes found profitable promotions. The more users add products, the larger the historical database accumulates and the more real price drops the system detects.
Development plans
Currently, Finik is already available for iOS users, and the release of the Android version is also being actively prepared.
The developer also studies buyer behavior in practice. For example, Amazon tried similar automation mechanics with the Auto Buy function, but analysis of seller accounts shows that organic sales growth is not always proportional to price reduction. Finik seeks to test its own approach: to give people the freedom to choose any platform (without being tied to a single marketplace), where everyone can set a price and calmly wait for their best offer.
