“In case of any inexplicable delays, we write a letter to the president and the minister of defense.” Fire Point top managers told how the company receives government contracts and cooperates with officials

Fire Point owner Denis Shtilerman and the company’s technical director Iryna Terek told how the most mentioned defense-tech company in the media today receives government orders.

As Shtilerman told Forbes, Fire Point won open tests conducted by the Defense Forces together with the American embassy. «We were the only ones who passed them. Making one or two planes that pass the tests is one thing. Syrsky, Umerov and Bezrukova came to look at the capabilities and make sure that production exists. That these are not planes made in a garage and that we don’t have to wait another year for the enterprise to be rebuilt,» he said.

Iryna Terek adds: «At first, a military acceptance team came, they also assess capabilities. They come both before the contract and during the implementation process. They help with incoming control, check how everything is going. At some point, many international delegations started coming to us.»

According to Stillerman, sometimes you have to call the president or the head of the Ministry of Defense directly. «We rebuild relationships with lower-level representatives, but if there is any delay, I immediately call directly. In case of any inexplicable delays, we write a letter to the president and the minister of defense to inform them of the possible risks. That is our approach,» he says.

«If your processes are slowing down for unknown reasons and the issue is not resolved, the only way out is to call and complain. If, due to problems at a lower level, we disrupt supplies for two months, then the issues at stake will be with us,» Terek explains.

Once a month and a half, says the founder of Fire Point, company representatives visit the stakes and communicate with the country’s leadership and other manufacturers. «If the stake is for deep strikes, then all the manufacturers are there. If it is for missiles, then all the missile companies. This is a working meeting for exchanging information, synchronization,» said Shtilerman.

In 2026, Terek says, the army expects a very large volume of supplies from the company for the next year. «To fulfill a potential order of such a volume, we need to build new plants. This cannot be done in a month. We have contracts for this year, we are fulfilling them in advance. Some contracts are transitional to the next year — we will deliver volumes for them that will fall due in January. It is clear that the state has general problems with financing. The vote on the budget has been delayed,» she said.

Currently, says Iryna, the company «has a reserve of fat, but there is always a question — should we invest this money in the development of ballistics or only deal with old means.»

Earlier, the head of the «Return Alive» foundation, Taras Chmut, called Fire Point a «shady» company and explained why the foundation he heads does not cooperate with it.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates is preparing a deal with the Ukrainian defense-tech company Fire Point: it is about a stake in the business (shares/share in the authorized capital), and not about the «sale of drones» or the transfer of specific production sites.
