In early February 2026, Fire Point, known for its Flamingo missiles, announced that it was finalizing testing of its FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles. The company expects that within a month they will undergo codification and procedures required for official acceptance into service.
«Congratulations to FP7,» Denis Shtilerman wrote on Twitter in late February. He shared a video of the testing of the FP-7 ballistic missile, which was launched from a ground platform.

The FP-7 is described there as a cheaper alternative to the American ATACMS for high-precision strikes at shorter ranges (up to 200 km). The missile is capable of carrying a 150 kg warhead, reaching a speed of 1.5 km per second, and hitting targets with an accuracy of up to 14 m.
It was previously reported that the company has invested about $100 million in its ballistic program and already has about a dozen FP-7 and FP-9 missiles for experimental launches. Fire Point noted that they are ready to produce up to three such missiles per day.
