Now, not only legal entities, but also individual entrepreneurs will be able to join the Sandbox experimental project. The Ministry of Digital Transformation reports that this opens up opportunities for small teams and individual developers.
The requirement to submit tax clearance and bankruptcy clearance certificates has also been removed, as Sandbox does not provide financial grants. In addition, Sandbox has removed the requirement for mandatory funding from investors for products that are in the concept stage, and now teams can participate even with solutions at the design stage.
The Sandbox project is implemented by the Ukrainian Startup Fund in conjunction with the Ministry of Digital Transformation; it was launched in June 2025. In it, startups receive:
Startups working at the intersection of AI/blockchain and the MedTech, BioTech, EdTech, DefenseTech, AgroTech, Digital Economy, and GovTech industries can join. Two new priority industries for creating products using AI and blockchain have also been added to the Sandbox: energy and culture.
