Radio technology and military communications specialist Sergey Flesh reported on a new potential threat — Russian Shahed-136 attack drones can already carry FPV drones.
According to him, earlier the appearance of factory mounts for transporting FPV on other UAVs — in particular, the Molniya and Gerber — already seemed like a warning signal. Now, the first video confirmation of the transfer of FPV directly to the Shahedi has appeared.
Flash claims that one such kamikaze drone can carry at least two FPVs. This creates additional risks during interception or after the drone is shot down, as the FPVs can be used individually to engage targets.
He called on anti-aircraft drone crews to pay attention to the possible presence of FPV on the «Shaheds», and also asked units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to take into account new risks when performing combat missions.
There is currently no official confirmation from the military command regarding the scale of the use of such tactics. However, experts note that such a modification may indicate that the enemy is searching for new ways to increase the effectiveness of attacks.
Previously, dev.ua reported that the Russian Federation first used a Gerber drone as a platform for launching an FPV drone.
