Ukrainian startup Frontline, which produces robotic systems and drones for the Defense Forces, has attracted $100,000 in investment from the Estonian Startup Wise Guys fund. Where will the funding go?
As AIN.UA reports, Frontline plans to invest in scaling up drone production in Ukraine.
«We are grateful to the Startup Wise Guys Foundation for believing in our mission and supporting our product. This investment will help us do even more to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as bring Ukrainian defense technologies to the global level,» said Frontline CEO Yevhen Tretyak.
The startup says the funds will allow it to scale production, speed up R&D, and collaborate with international partners.
«We are excited to be a part of Frontline’s growth. Their products bring tremendous value because they reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of existing military solutions. With our investment, we confirm our support for Ukraine, as well as our mission to increase value for our investors,» commented Sergio Borasino, VP of Cyber Security and Founders Club Director at Startup Wise Guys.
We will remind you that Frontline previously received a grant of UAH 2 million from the Brave1 defense technology support cluster. They will be used in the production of BpAK «Linza» — a copter-bomber with the ability to perform reconnaissance functions.
In the summer, the company introduced a remote-controlled turret for the MK-19 Burya. In the fall, it became known that Frontline and Tencore had combined their developments into a single combat system that would allow the military to fire from a grenade launcher without exposing themselves to danger.
