Google has announced an update to Gemini 2.5 Pro, which the company claims is better at handling certain programming tasks.
The updated version of Gemini 2.5 Pro, which Google released in late March, is now available on the AI Studio and Vertex AI platforms, as well as in the Gemini app. The AI model will become publicly available in a couple of weeks, TechCrunch writes .

“Gemini 2.5 Pro continues to deliver excellent coding performance, leading the way in complex coding tests,” Google writes in a blog post. “It also delivers top-notch performance in highly complex tests that assess the model’s capabilities in math, science, knowledge, and reasoning.”
Google also notes that it has taken feedback from the previous 2.5 Pro release into account, improving the style and structure of the model. Now 2.5 Pro can be “more creative with better formatted answers,” the company claims.
