The updated Veo 2 video generation model is now available to users of Gemini Advanced, the paid version of Google's AI assistant.
Starting Tuesday, Gemini Advanced subscribers will be able to select Veo 2 from the model context menu in Google’s Gemini apps, TechCrunch reports . Users can create eight-second video clips in 720p resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio and upload them to TikTok, YouTube, and more using Gemini’s Share button. Videos created with Veo 2 can also be uploaded in MP4 format with watermarks using Google’s SynthID technology.
There is currently a limit on the number of videos users can create each month, and Google Workspace business and education plans are not yet supported.
According to Google, the model was trained on a large array of licensed videos and uses the latest methods of generative artificial intelligence, in particular diffusion modeling. To generate the video, the context of the prompt, genre queries, visual styles and sequence of movements in the frame are taken into account.
