Google is developing a new tool to combat potential motion sickness when using Android smartphones in vehicles while driving.
The beta version of the tool is already available in the Play Market. To use it, you need to download Motion Cues to your phone and grant permission to draw on top of other apps.
After activation, dynamic visual effects appear on the phone screen, which should help to overcome motion sickness if you use the phone while driving in transport.
The new function was discovered during the uninstallation of the latest version of the Google Play Services app, Gadgets360 writes. While third-party apps to prevent motion sickness and motion sickness are available in the Google Play Store, Google’s in-development Motion Cues feature is expected to introduce its own support to combat the problem.
Users will also reportedly have the option to turn the feature on automatically, with visual prompts automatically appearing on the screen if motion is detected. When activated, visual cues appear on the screen that move in the same direction as the vehicle, preventing the signals sent to the brain by the user’s ears and eyes from mismatching.
However, it is reported that the feature may not yet work on some versions of Google Play Services.
