Google has acquired ProducerAI, a music platform that allows artists to create music using generative AI.
ProducerAI helps users generate music tracks and lyrics, edit lyrics, and create music videos using an AI agent. The platform was first introduced under the name Riffusion before changing it to ProducerAI in July 2025, Cybernews writes .
The music generation tool uses a pre-release version of Lyria 3, Google DeepMind's latest high-end professional music generation model, which was integrated into Google's Gemini chatbot last week.
Additionally, the music platform uses Nano Banana’s image generation model to design album art and Veo to generate music videos. All music created by ProducerAI has an embedded SynthID, an invisible watermark that identifies the content as being generated using Google’s AI.
ProducerAI was developed in collaboration with the duo The Chainsmokers, Grammy Award-winning rapper Lecrae, and other artists.
In its blog, Google notes that it seeks to enhance human creativity through artificial intelligence technologies.
“Building on a long history of technical advancements in music creation, ProducerAI has allowed me to create in new ways. I’ve experimented with combining new genres, expressed my feelings through personalized birthday songs for loved ones, and created my own workout soundtracks for myself and friends,” said Elias Roman, Senior Director, Google Labs.
The platform is available worldwide with free and paid plans.
