Google has begun rolling out new artificial intelligence features to Gemini Live that allow it to "see" your screen or through your smartphone's camera and answer questions in real time.
These features come nearly a year after Google first demonstrated the work of Project Astra, which powers them, The Verge reports . Google also announced them in early March.
A Reddit user reported that the feature appeared on his Xiaomi phone. He also posted a video demonstrating the new screen reading feature in Gemini.
Another Astra feature currently being rolled out is live video, which allows Gemini to interpret images from your smartphone camera in real time and answer questions about it.
In a Google demo video, a person uses this feature to ask Gemini for help choosing a paint color for their ceramic tiles.
These features are available to Gemini Advanced users on the Google One AI Premium plan.
