xAI has opened early access to Build Mode, a new Grok mode that allows you to create websites, applications, games, and interactive dashboards using text queries. The user just needs to describe the idea, after which the chatbot generates code, shows the finished result, and allows you to immediately publish it online.

Build Mode works without setting up a development environment or writing code manually. After creating the first version of the project, it can be modified with regular messages: change the design, add new features, fix bugs, or completely rebuild the application logic.

The new mode allows you to create landing pages, portfolios, calculators, planners, trackers, interactive panels, simple games, and even 3D worlds. Connectors to external services are also supported, allowing you to automatically pull data and build graphs or dashboards that update in real time.

One of the main features is the ability to publish instantly. After completion, Grok can deploy the project to a link on the grok.me domain, and if necessary, the user can connect their own domain. The generated code also remains available for further manual editing.

The new mode is available on the Grok web app, as well as on the iOS and Android apps. It’s currently in early beta and only available to SuperGrok Heavy subscribers. The subscription costs $100 per month for the first three months, after which it will increase to $300.

xAI notes that this is a continuation of the development of Grok Build, which the company introduced back in May as an AI agent for programming. Back then, it worked only through the command line. Now, the entire process — from code generation to viewing the result and publishing — has been moved directly to the chatbot interface.
